The Mount Desert Island Hospital Farmhouse Dinner
A benefit dinner to support a good cause and a very important organization.
During a recent trip to Maine, I attended the Mount Desert Island Hospital Farmhouse Dinner. It was held in the century-old Farmhouse, whose gardens were originally designed by the well-known landscaper, Beatrix Farrand.
The MDI hospital is among the nation’s leading rural healthcare organizations, serving Maine’s downeast region since 1897. It provides 24-hour, responsive, patient-centered medical care to its community. It was not only a pleasure to be invited, but I also presented a dish for the event. I chose to bring a mouthwatering dessert. Take a look at these photos to see what I made, and how it turned out.
